My family is blessed to live very close to the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Lewiston, NY, which is run by the Barnabite Fathers.
Fr. Peter Calabrese in particular has been integral in my ongoing formation and has blessed our home and enthroned it to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He teaches an outstanding Bible study and has a radio show, “Calling All Catholics” that discusses current issues. His gentle and humble demeanor gravitates many people, and his example of what I would define as “deep moral fiber, strength of mind, strength of character” has been a source of amazing spiritual guidance for me.

It is a very holy place where people of all Nationalities make pilgrimages to pray, attend mass, and walk the lovely grounds.
Yes- that is a Rosary
St. Thérèse understood well how being overwhelmed can pull us away from our one true focus- the Blessed Eucharist- this tiny host that we entrust to our mouth and partake of- is the source and summit of our faith.
Let us contemplate the very source of our life, our food for the journey. The Holy Eucharist. The actual presence of the body, blood, soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us prepare ourselves in small humble ways to receive Him, by becoming the holy ones He created us to be. Reconciling ourselves wholeheartedly to His Sacredness, His Holy Spirit, we become His precious jewels.
